Kevin Leckerman, Esq. solely practices DUI (also known as DAI) defense in Pennsylvania and DWI defense throughout the entire State of New Jersey. Mr. Leckerman helped to change the law in New Jersey concerning witnesses who collect and test blood samples. He has been certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to administer Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Moreover, Mr. Leckerman has received extensive training concerning breath testing and blood testing for the determination of blood alcohol concentration.

Experience and Training
Kevin Leckerman has dedicated his career to defending individuals charged with criminal and traffic offenses from the time he was certified by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to defend indigent clients as a law student.
As a Senior Deputy Public Defender, Kevin Leckerman was the Appellate Division co-chief handling all appellate matters. This position required writing and arguing briefs to the Common Pleas, Commonwealth, Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania. At the same time, he worked as a trial attorney representing clients on charges ranging from arson, aggravated assault, DUI, rape, drug crimes, vehicular homicide while DUI, felony-murder to capital murder.
After leaving the Office of the Public Defender, Kevin Leckerman chose to work for Levow & Costello, P.A., later to become Levow & Associates, P.A.. As an associate with this law firm, he focused his practice on DWI / DUI defense. During this tenure with Levow & Associates, P.A., Kevin Leckerman received training from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for DWI detection and the administration of standardized field sobriety testing. Moreover, as a member of the National College of DUI Defense, he received and continues to receive extensive training in all other aspects of DWI / DUI defense.
Additionally, Kevin Leckerman wrote the briefs for and argued before the Appellate Division in a successful effort to establish new law in New Jersey. The change in the law concerned the Sixth Amendment right to confront hospital workers who extracted blood samples and lab technicians who tested those blood samples in DWI prosecutions.
