. An MDOT officer may make arrests under Section 27-5-75 when criminal violations under these statutes are discovered during a proper inspection. Since we have found the walk-around inspection at this stationary weigh station site to be valid, the officers' discovery of drugs inside the truck properly could cause them to arrest Edwards.

THE JUDGMENT OF THE LAUDERDALE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT OF CONVICTION OF POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE WHILE IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM AND SENTENCE OF FIFTEEN YEARS IN THE CUSTODY OF THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS WITH NINE YEARS SUSPENDED AND FIVE YEARS OF SUPERVISED PROBATION AND FINE OF $5,000 IS AFFIRMED.
