A drunk driver hit a driver and passenger headlong on Oregon’s Interstate 5. 56-year old Michael L. Smith, of Medford, OR is charged with suspicion of Driving Under the Influence , Reckless Driving, and Assault in the Third Degree.

Plice said Smith was heading southbound in a northbound lane of 1-5, not far from Central Point, OR. Smith was driving a 2008 Toyota Sloara when he hit 50-year Sacramento resident.

The pedestrian did not suffer injuries. The passenger in her car, a 17-year old is being treated with non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.
