Boise man gets felony DUI charge after Friday morning crash

Tragedy was avoided last week, in an alcohol-related accident in which all involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts. Tyler Langenfeld, 23, of Boise, was charged with aggravated DUI in connection with a crash that occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Friday. Police say Langenfeld was driving west on Fairview Avenue in a 1995 Subaru Impreza when the crash occurred. His vehicle slammed into the rear of a 2008 Subaru Tribeca that was slowing for a stoplight at Mitchell Street.
The driver of the Subaru, Abigal Williams, 20, of Nampa, was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Langenfeld was also transported to the hospital, as were three passengers in his car: Rebecca Acamo, 16; Scott Hollifield, 26, of Boise, and Madison Wood, 19, of Houston .
After he was treated at Saint Al's, Langenfeld was booked into the Ada County jail. The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
