Sheriff's deputies in Richmond County, GA more than doubled their arrests of drunken drivers this Labor Day holiday weekend compared with last year. Twenty-eight people were arrested on DUI charges Friday and Saturday, compared with 13 people last year, according to Richmond County Sheriff’s Special Operations statistics. There were no DUI arrests on Sunday and Monday.
Speeding citations were down this year -- from 355 in 2008 to 201 this weekend.
