Suspended License and DUI / DWI Arrest Lawyer
If you are arrested and refuse to take the Field Sobriety Test (FST), the Breathalyzer, or Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) test, or if you take the Breathalyzer and your blood-alcohol concentration is higher than .08, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) will administratively suspend your driver’s license.
You can challenge this suspension if your attorney requests an Administrative hearing before the DHSMV within ten days of arrest. However, if you fail to act within this time frame, you will lose your opportunity to challenge the suspension, and you could lose your license for up to eighteen months.
