      In criminal cases, "I WROTE THE BOOK," literally. The exact title is REVERSIBLE ERRORS IN FEDERAL CRIMINAL CASES. It's published by Knowles Publishing Company out of Fort Worth, Texas and it covers all the cases that were reversed by the Federal Circuit Courts.

     I was a prosecutor in four different jurisdictions, i.e. for the City of San Antonio, for Bexar County, Texas, for Nueces County, Texas and for New Castle County, Delaware. As a prosecutor for the State of Delaware, I rewrote the drug forfeiture laws that they are still using today. On the other side of the coin, I was selected out of dozens to be the first Federal Public Defender assigned to Delaware. I'm licensed and have practiced before all the courts of Delaware, the Federal District Court of Delaware, the third and fifth Federal Appeals Courts and the United States Supreme Court.

     I have prosecuted and defended everything from jay-walking to capital murder, from possession of a joint of marijuana to trafficking in tons, from sodomy to following too close. On the last capital murder case I handled, the co-defendant got the death penalty while my client only got three years.

     And while I don't claim to win every case I have tried-- like some unscrupulous local attorneys falsely claim-- I have won the majority of the cases I've handled.
