Stephen E. Guss has been practicing law in Fairfax, Virginia for over 30 years.
His practice emphasizes representing Business & Individuals before the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly the INS), the Department of Labor and the State Department to obtain his clients preferred results.
Mr. Guss works with Domestic and Foreign Corporations in all Immigration matters. He has represented individuals from over 75 countries to obtain Employment Visas, Family Visas, Permanent Residence, and Citizenship. He also represents clients before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Mr. Guss has lectured on Immigration subjects for the Fairfax County Bar Association and other groups in Virginia. He has appeared numerous times on the Award Winning Law Week television program to discuss current immigration issues.
He is an active member of the Virginia State Bar, District of Columbia Bar, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He participates in its continuing legal education programs.
Mr. Guss' staff consists of Mrs. Amarilis Vasquez de Velasco, who has been a bilingual legal assistant for more than five (5) years. She has experience and training in all areas of Immigration practice. She has attended several legal research and immigration seminars to keep current in immigration matters. Her fluency in Spanish and English serves in the translation of Spanish documents and she interprets for Spanish-speaking clients of the firm.
Also on staff is David Guss who has more than four (4) years experience as a legal assistant in criminal, traffic, juvenile and divorce law matters. He also serves as the firms IT Director and Comptroller.
